Ascension Parish Lt. Col. Donald Capello, standing, was selected as president of the Louisiana chapter of the FBI National Academy Associates, Inc. during a recent conference.

Lt. Col. Donald Capello of the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office has been selected as president of the Louisiana chapter of the FBI National Academy Associates Inc.

According to APSO, the non-profit organization helps promote and provide law enforcement leadership through training and networking.

Capello has more than 30 years of service with the sheriff's office and currently works as the deputy chief of criminal operations, overseeing divisions including the east and west operations, criminal investigations and training.
