LSU women's basketball forward Angel Reese has been one of the sport's brightest stars the past two seasons and could potentially enter the WNBA draft this offseason.

Reese, the NCAA Tournament's Most Outstanding Player last season, is averaging 19.1 points and 12.9 rebounds per game this season in her second season with the Tigers after transferring from Maryland. She does have a season of eligibility remaining, however, meaning she could return to LSU next season.

Reese would undoubtedly be one of the highest-drafted players in the 2024 WNBA Draft in a class of players that features the NCAA's all-time leading scorer Caitlin Clark and Stanford standout Cameron Brink — should she leave school for the pros.

The "Bayou Barbie" leads No. 10 LSU in points and rebounds per game this season and should help the Tigers compete for a national championship once again come March. The question is whether she decides to do it all again in 2024-25.

Is Angel Reese entering the WNBA draft?

Reese has yet to declare for the WNBA draft, and would likely wait to do so until after the season. She did, however, recently post a cryptic message to X (formerly Twitter) that could mean she's still mulling her future plans.

Reese, who's being honored at LSU's Senior Day on March 3, wrote "Should I stay? Should I go? I don't know" in response to the Tigers' tweet about her participating on Senior Day on Feb. 24.

"Angel said when she came here she'd stay two years and Hailey (Van Lith) said she'd stay one," LSU coach Kim Mulkey said Tuesday. "I'm just not the kind of coach to sit people down and influence them on what agents to pick or talk to them about what they want to do.

"They surely know they have the COVID year to come back. And they would be more than welcome, but I just try to stay away from having any kind of influential conversations, particularly with Angel and Hailey because they made it perfectly clear to me when they came what they wanted to do."

Angel Reese WNBA draft projections

Reese is a projected first-round pick, according to ESPN.

ESPN has Reese being selected eighth overall to the Atlanta Dream, noting "there is some concern about her lack of shooting range in moving to the WNBA."
