The New York Giants selected LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers with the sixth pick in the 2024 NFL Draft on Thursday.

Nabers spent three seasons with the Tigers, setting a few school records while playing a major factor in LSU's offense in 2023 being one of the most potent offenses in college football.

What Malik Nabers brings to the New York Giants in 2024 NFL Draft

Nabers is a gamebreaker-type wide receiver. The past two seasons with LSU, Nabers broke out as a big-play pass catcher who could stretch the field vertically and would haul in passes with sure hands. Nabers has a full route tree, breaks well and has good feet to create space for himself in the short and intermediate plays. He has WR1 capabilities at the NFL level.

Malik Nabers' highlights, strengths, weaknesses at LSU football

Nabers set the LSU career record for receptions (189), yards receiving (3,003) and receptions in a half with 10 against Mississippi State in 2023. That was Nabers' all-around best game with the Tigers as he finished the game with a career-high 13 grabs as LSU defeated the Bulldogs, 41-14.

The 6-foot, 200-pound wide receiver from Youngsville, Louisiana, Nabers had 3,003 yards receiving and 21 touchdowns.

How did Malik Nabers impress NFL scouts?

At the NFL combine, Nabers opted not to work out, instead waiting until LSU's Pro Day in March to show NFL scouts what he could do. He ran a blistering 4.35 40-yard dash and a 42-inch vertical, cementing his status as a top-end NFL draft prospect.
